Wilson Outdoor Classroom
The Wilson Outdoor Classroom consists of three areas: The Nature Center, The Imagination Station, and Flutterby. The purpose of the Wilson Outdoor Classroom is to provide a constructivist learning environment for the students from prek to fifth grade. The Outdoor classroom is used by the teaching staff as a laboratory in which students experience hands on interaction with science, math and language objectives.

The Nature Center
was developed in 1993 with a grant from the Oklahoma Wildlife Commission to construct a pond. The Nature Center contains a pond, waterfall, herb garden, rock imagination garden, arbor, tadpole habitat, dry creek bed, bridge and cactus garden.

The Imagination Station in the south courtyard was created by an Eagle Scout in 1998. This area includes benches and flower boxes surrounded by a patio used as a multipurpose area.

Flutterby, an environment designed to attract butterflies, bees and hummingbirds, was built in 2000 by Boy Scout Troop 777as a community project.

The Wilson Outdoor Classroom is an integral part of the Wilson student's educational experience. It provides a laboratory where they can gather physical data to use in learning how to hypothesize, to reflect and to analyze throughout the curriculum.
