Wilson Elementary School opened its doors in 1930. Our neighborhood was originally founded during the historic land run of 1889. Located in the central downtown section of Norman, just north of the "Silk Stocking" district, many historical homes still exist, including the Cleveland County Historical Museum, the Moore-Lindsay home.

Wilson's mission statement, "The Wilson community provides a foundation for life-long learning in a safe and responsible environment," provides the framework to help our students as they build for a bright future. With the assistance of community partners, parents and district support, Wilson students benefit from educational partnerships that support and prepare students to face increasingly complex challenges, opportunities and problems.
