Class News

Everyday Math: In our math class, we are working in two and three digit addition and subtraction. We are working on knowing our multiplication facts. Please practice these with your child every night for 15 minutes.

Reading: Throughout the year, we will be working on main idea, summarizing, inferences, sequencing, comprehension, expression, and other reading strategies through the use of our textbook and literature books.

Social Studies: The goal of third grade Social Studies is to study communities. We will be learning about different communities and cultures this year.

About Me

I have been teaching at Cleveland Elementary for a long time. I have taught second and fourth grade and now third, as well as gifted and talented. I am married to David Gore who is a retired assistant principal from Whittier Middle School. We have one daughter, Melissa, who is married to Kevin Watson and living in Lamont, Oklahoma. They are expecting a daughter soon. Our son, Darren, graduated from Norman North and is a junior at Oklahoma State University. (We have a divided house since Melissa and I also graduated from OSU and David and Kevin are OU grads.) I have two cats, Mr. Bojangles and Gracie. I love to read and travel in my free time.
