Mr. Jimmy Cannon

Welcome to the new school year. My name is Jimmy Cannon, and I teach seventh-grade Math, Extensions, and Geometry. I received my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. I have been married for twenty-two years. My wife, Rhonda and I have a daughter, Addie who is 19 and a son, Jeremy who is 16. I would like to take this opportunity to convey my expectations and rules for the class. 

My academic goals for this class are for every student to be successful by providing a safe learning environment, a clear understanding of goals that are set in the class, and ensuring that every student has the opportunity and support to be successful in learning the material. Students are required to keep a math notebook with assignment information, class notes, bell work and completed homework. 

Another goal I have is to maintain a line of communication with you throughout the year. I want you to know how your child is doing in my class and what your child needs to be doing at home.
