1. Listen carefully.
2. Follow directions.
3. Work quietly. Do not disturb others who are working.
4. Respect others. Be kind with your words and actions.
5. Respect school and personal property.
6. Work and play safely.
There are rewards and consequences for following or breaking rules. Students will get more information in class.
Ö at the top of the page means we did the work together.
J or * means it was for practice and review.
Penmanship grades S or U (satisfactory or unsatisfactory).
Actual grades are written on the top of the paper.
D or F grades given on daily work may be corrected by the student. They should be returned the next day and MUST BE SIGNED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN. The highest grade given on corrected work will be a B +.
Folders will come home on Thursdays with your third grader. Please take the time to look through them. They will have lots of important information from school.
Homework will be given. It is your child’s job to do the work, make sure you sign it, and return it to school the next day. Parents are encouraged to help with the homework.
Spelling word lists will come home on Monday or the first day of the week. Pretests will be given on Thursdays and tests on Friday. If your student makes an A on the pretest, they do not have to take the test on Friday. Pretests will be in the Thursday folder and tests will be given on words missed only.
Show and tell is on Friday. Please send educational and interesting items, not just toys.
Wilson Spirit Day! Wear your Wilson T-shirt! For every Wilson T-shirt in our class we get to put in a good behavior marble.
If we have snacks, I allow time around 10:00. Please try to send healthy snacks. Birthday snacks are welcome too, but we cannot have birthday parties.
