Welcome to the fantastic, growing, learning journey we will have in room #101. I am Odessa Bacher N.B.C.T, National Board Certified teacher one of your guides. Kathy McLaughlin M.S.C.C.C, Master of Science, Certificate of Clinical Competence is our speech language pathologist. And our returning teaching assistants this year are Julie Burbridge and Dusty Keeler.

Class News

Room‘s 101’s theme this month of March is 3’s, the Three Little Kittens, the Three Bears, Three Little Pigs and Three Billy Goats Gruff. We will also be talking about the changes in spring, weather and water animals. Ms. McLaughlin brought in a tub of water and we tested many different objects to see if they would sink or float! We have turned our house keeping area into a construction site with hammers, screwdrivers, hard hats and safety glasses and Brayden’s family donated a magnetic easel that works out great in our sorting center. Thanks guys! Daylight savings time this year is March 14^th. Remember to set your clocks forward an hour. And a special thanks to everyone who helped to make the friendship parties a success. We love to have fun!

About Me

This is my third year at Jefferson Elementary and I am delighted to be here. I’ve taught many years in Oklahoma and Pre School and Kindergarten are my favorite grades. I love teaching and children. Even as a little child, I wanted to be a teacher. I am now a National Board Certified Teacher which is represented by the four letters you see behind my name. I also have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Central State University which is now the University of Central Oklahoma. I am on the Autism Registry, Other Health Impaired Registry, Multi-handicapped Registry and Traumatic Brain Injury Registry.
